*The physical description of Eden
*the conclusions of David Rohl, who matched Eden's physical description with a site in northwest Iran.

What does this phrase (that was removed from the article) mean?
* That it was still immoral? No, that's already been answered in the article.
* That it still involves sex between closely-related people? That's already been said.
* That it still involves someone forcing their affections on someone else (as a father on a daughter)? No, that's not what incest actually means (although it frequently has that connotation), and that is not the situation here.
So I see no reason for that phrase being in there.

I'm not happy about the reference to intercourse with Eve (besides, why not a daughter with Adam?), as that would be adultery, but between married brother and sister it would have been okay at the time.

:The action is still considered incest. True, it is still stated that it isn't immoral, but it is undeniable that it is incest. The garden was a paradise of plenty where Adam and Eve would never suffer illness or death. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve defied the will of God by eating the [[forbidden fruit]] at the center of the garden, and God cast them out of the garden so that they would no longer live forever. According to Genesis, a [[cherub]] with a flaming sword then guarded the Garden of Eden to prevent humans from returning.

Adam and Eve initially had two children, Cain and Abel. After Cain killed Abel, and was cursed to wander, Adam and Eve conceived another child named Seth. The sons are explicitly named in Genesis, although it does state that there were other sons and daughters as well (Genesis 5:4).

According to the Bible all humans on Earth are descendants of Adam and Eve. Their children Cain and Seth create two separate lineages of human life on Earth. Cain and Seth must have had sexual intercourse with their mother Eve, or an unnamed sister to propagate humanity. This was not necessarily considered immoral because there was no other way to create children, although it would still be considered [[incest]].

Death is the end of a living thing's life. What death is and what occurs after death is a matter of some debate, particularly where religion is involved, since due to the inherent nature of religion, it means nobody can agree on anything.

The most reasonable assumption is that nothing happens after one dies and the body simply rots away (this would imply people do not have spirits or souls). However, since death is something people fear to varying degrees (and is a matter of taboo in some cultures), they require something comforting to help them deal with the idea they will die at some point. Generally this comfort is provided by religions, which deal with the issue in different ways. The concept of the afterlife is reassuring, dispite the inability to prove or disprove the claims - as, by definition, noone can return to confirm the myths.

As the body of the deceased remains observably dead and eventually decomposes, afterlife belief requires the concept of a [[soul]] - a version of the deceased which contines to exist in some form after death. Although no soul has ever been detected, its existance is assumed due to the difficulty of accepting existance without an afterlife, and the resulting tendency to clutch at straw.

==Religious Interpretations==

[[Christians]] believe only their bodies die, not their souls. They believe they have everlasting life in either heaven or hell once their corporal life has ended. This belief brings up the obvious issue that there is a steady accumulation of souls and thus is entropically unfavourable. Therefore the belief in [[reincarnation]] is probably more plausible.

'''Wicca''' is a religion that has many different sects and groups like many other religions. Many wiccans believe in a god and a godess, with many different deities being manifest of the god and the goddess. They use nature and pray and worship the lord and the lady. Many wiccans also practice magick, though one does not have to to be called wiccan. The use of magick is important in healing, and other such spells.

Wicca is often reffered to as the "Old Religion", as its existence predates most other known religions in the world. During early Christian times, many people were burnt at the steak, being accused of witchcraft, which Christians believe to be Satanic. Many of the "witches" were usually simply people who spoke out against or disagreed with someone particularly malicious, who would accuse them of witchcraft. While there are many old religions that influence Wicca, none of them are alike enough to Wicca to be called its parent.
