Ted Cruz (born December 22, 1970) is the junior United States Senator from Texas, having won the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison in 2012. A conservative Republican, he is the former Solicitor General of Texas, the chief lawyer for the state before the U.S. Supreme Court. Cruz has authored more than eighty U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued forty oral arguments, including nine before the U.S. Supreme Court. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Cruz is promoted heavily by neocons who like his interventionalist foreign policy, but some conservatives see more grandstanding than achievement on social issues.

Cruz has been supported by the Tea Party movement, Tea Party Express, Club for Growth, FreedomWorks, the Family Research Council, Erick Erickson of RedState, Mark Levin, Senator Jim DeMint, Senator Rand Paul, Senator Pat Toomey, and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

In the Texas Senate primary elections of May 29, 2012, Cruz forced a runoff with Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst. The pair emerged from a nine-candidate Republican field. On July 31, Cruz defeated Dewhurst in a second round of voting. Cruz easily defeated Democrat former State Representative Paul Sadler in the general election.

Biography
Cruz's father fought alongside the communist Fidel Castro in the Cuban Revolution when he was only 14 years old and was imprisoned three years later for his political activities. In 1957, he escaped to the United States. Today he is a pastor in Dallas. Cruz's mother is American. After Cruz was born in Alberta, Canada, the family moved to Texas. Cruz is a Southern Baptist, married with two children.

Senate Career
Cruz was elected as a memeber of the Senate in 2012. Beginning on September 24, 2013, Cruz gave a 21-hour speech on the senate floor against Obamacare. The speech greatly boosted his national profile and led to denunciations from the liberal media.

2016 Presidential Race
On March 23, 2015, Cruz became the first person to announce his candidacy for president in 2016 in a speech before an audience at Liberty University. The predictable liberal media immediately went on the offense claiming he has no chance but was in awe of his speech without teleprompters. His wife would take a leave of absence from her job at Goldman Sachs to join her husband on the campaign trail. This decision left his family without health insurance. Cruz, by law, has to be insured and took Obamacare coverage. This drove the media batty at the irony of railing against Obamacare but using it. Simply put, this does not mean he endorses Obamacare rather it shows his commitment to follow the rule of law.

Cruz would raise $4 million in donations after the first week of his announcement. Liberal media jaws hit the floor when it was learned he raised $31 million in one week from PACs.

Eligibility
The same liberals who mocked opponents of Obama for claiming he was not born in Hawaii have decided to make the same case against Cruz for being born in Canada. Cruz's mother being an American citizen, just like Obama's mother, insures that he is American no matter what country he was born in. There are several differences in Obama/Cruz birth certificate controversies. One, Cruz is not a nigger. Two, Cruz released his immediately after it was requested. Obama held onto his for years, spending nearly $4 million in legal fees like a shady nigger.

Political positions
Cruz opposes illegal immigration, gun control and homosexuality. He is pro-life, supports the death penalty and believes that the USA should not get involved in the Syrian Civil War.

Cruz has effectively criticized RINOs, calling them "squishes."
A growing movement contends that since Obama had refused to release his long-form birth certificate from the state of Hawaii and since documentary evidence indicates that he may have been born in Kenya, Obama is ineligible to serve as president according to the U.S. Constitution. Obama's supporters and a large swath of the Democratic Party state that Obama was born in Hawaii, and is therefore a "natural-born citizen"; they have dismissed outright the claims of the "birthers" - as they derisively call them - as a non-issue or another conspiracy theory. Ted Cruz was born to an American mother, just like Obongo, but unlike Obongo he's not a nigger!!!

Supposed Birth Certificate Release
With the news of Jerome Corsi's Worldnet Daily published book Where's the Birth Certificate? scheduled to be released on May 18, 2011 and with Donald Trump calling for Obama to release his long form birth certificate, it was finally released on April 27, 2011. Within days on its release it was being called a forgery.

Despite efforts by people to down play the reports of Adobe Illustrator layering and to explain them away, the anomalies on the birth certificate increased daily. The flawed forgery techniques were examined and re-examined by novices and experts alike. It would be hard for someone to explain the many multiple errors in the purported "authentic" birth certificate.

Jerome Corsi said that he was alerted by a mole in the department of records in Hawaii, three weeks before the birth certificate was to be released, that a forged certificate suddenly appeared in the record book. Corsi and Farah of Worldnet Daily held back releasing the information because they wanted Obama to release a forgery and then prove that it was a fake which would be a crime.

Despite the overwhelming bizarre and inaccurate information contained on the supposed birth certificate the mainstream media and even Conservative news outlets refuse to question the document's authenticity.

Corsi stated during a radio interview on May 24, 2011 that a scanning expert is going to file a criminal complaint with the FBI that the birth certificate released by the president is a bad forgery.

United States Constitutional requirements
The Constitution states explicitly who is to be eligible for the office of president. The physical requirements are found in Article II, Section 1:
:No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
What is "Natural Born"
The Founding Fathers in 1790 interpreted "natural born" as:
:The children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States
