Jon Stewart (born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz on November 28, 1962) is a liberal nine-time Emmy-winning American comedian, satirist, actor, author, and producer. He is best known as the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show and for his political satire. <br />
<br />
Stewart has also appeared in several films including "Big Daddy," "The Faculty" and the Academy Award nominated "Death To Smoochy." These are all very funny, successful movies. In fact, some might say that Jon Stewart is far more successful and intelligent than our current president.<br />

<div>The Daily Show is a satirical program that airs on Comedy Central. It has won several awards, including a Peabody award and nine Emmys, and is known for its comedic satire of the news.<br />

The show was originally hosted by Craig Kilborn, but in 1998 Jon Stewart replaced Kilborn.<br />

== Jon Stewart on The Daily Show ==<br />
Stewart is best known as the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show. He often mocks the President, the war in Iraq, Congress, and United States foreign policy. Like other network news channels, Stewart often shows video clips, sound bites, and news stories in which politicians look silly, often contradicting themselves, or showing Senate speeches that seem ridiculous. This is completely understandable, considering this administration is the worst in history. You scum seem to think that wikipedia is to liberal so you have to make your own. Bush and his cronies do nothing but ruin lives and countries and then lie about it. I think we should be grateful, considering that FOX news is far more biased towards this worthless administration than the Daily Show is to liberals. Long live the Daily Show. <br />

<br />
The comedians show a liberal bias, and do different "news stories". These segments are usually aimed at poking humor at and satire of the political party in power. Thus, Stewart began by mocking of Republicans, but now makes fun of Democrats, as well as other topics in the news. Some argue that he demeans conservative positions, such as gun rights, pro-life, or Christianity.. This is a lie. One segment in particular, "This Week In God" mocks religious values, and God. Many would argue instead that this segment does not attempt to invalidate the values of Christianity or God, but rather mocks a group of citizens exercising their constitutional rightsfact. Stop complaining.<br />
