P = $30-Q ==== P = $18 so Quantity=$12, Price=$18

3. The supply increases therefore the demand or need for oil drops and the market prices go down.
When the demand for oil increases it is because there is less supply and the market prices rise.

4. They wish to make atleast a profit even though small out of the food that will spoil soon.On a graph the demand curve will move to the right after the price falls.

5.A. They have 600 seats nd should make $3000. B. The tickets would sell out as a result of demand and people would have to wait in line for a ticket. I could not supprt this law because it doesn't give private business and option and it doesn't help the free trade market.

6. If I worked for 8 hours a day 5 days a week making money, and left work in the evening just to go grocery shopping trying my best to save money with coupons, then came home and paid the electric bills and mortgage, I am using money at nearly every minute. Nothing is ever free, it costs somebody something, whether labor, money, production costs. Free items dont pop out of thin air and land in the free bin. The reason people work is to make money or trade for something they can't get or produce themselves. In order for humans to survive, they must work in some way, for some good to somebody. That is why it is good to produce a hardworking spirit while you're young so you are used to working for the rest of you're life. Time also costs money and it's best to spend our time wisely with wholesome people doing things that our beneficial to our lives.

7. Doctors will be payed less so not many people will want to go into becoming a doctor and the Government will have the money to decide who needs medications or surgeries and would'nt they rather spend money on a road project or a regular government funded object than an old ladys medications. Waitning lines will happen because of the shortage of doctors and the shortage of medications or surgeries because the government will not want to pay for these needs.

1. An example of a good could be a washing machine while an example of a service could be a washing machine repairman.

2. I beleive eating at McDonalds would bring about more transactions as you would have to pay more for gas, higher food costs, some tax etc. It's simply cheaper to buy in bulk and cook yourself than eating out.

3. Scarcity is anything that has or could have a demand, and is useful to an economy of any sort. If there was a football with an NFL players signature on it for sale,and many people want to own it, the seller could raise the price high above its real value, this makes the ball scarce.

4. The invisible hand is the driving force usually within yourself that makes you work harder or longer for a more successful business or better wages. An example is a farmer who plants and tills more crops and land than usual to earn more money or feed himself as well as selling his crops for wage increase.

5. Luke 12:13-21 explains how if you build a better, bigger barn and fill it with your crops, then lay back and enjoy yourself without working anymore, who knows how long your enjoyment might last. Your barn might burn or your crops ruin. The rich man should have worked regularly, keeping busy, and given to the Lord. We should not store up treasures on earth where moth and dust ruin, but give to God and he will provide our every need. The Gospel of Matthew has more economic parables than Mark because Matthew was a tax collector (Jewish, I think,) and he could relate to these economic parables.

6. "Carpe Diem" is "the enjoyment of the pleasures of the moment without concern for the future". For an economic example: you see an excellent car half priced that would be a great buy but have no need for it because you can't get a drivers liscence for another year. Sieze the moment and invest in the car now instead of paying a higher price later on. In doing so you are probably saving a lot of money and getting that purchase out of the way.

Hello Mr. Schlafly,
I am aware that this course started almost a week ago, but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to still enroll. Back before the course started, I tried many times to create an account in order to join Conservapedia and enroll specifically in this course, but for some reason I had problems every time until yesterday. (It may have had something to do with the laptop that was with me while I was on vacation last week-- creating an account worked fine once I got on a different computer at home.) Please let me know if enrollment is still possible at this point (I could catch up!), and if not, when you may offer this course again. Thank you very much, LydiaM

:Please do join the course! There's time and several students missed the first lecture do to other commitments. Simply read Lecture One and complete and post its homework this weekend, and you'll be caught up!--[[User:Aschlafly|Andy Schlafly]] 10:33, 11 September 2009 (EDT)
I would like to enroll in your course, even though I know I'm a week behind. As long as it's okay with you, I will post my homework tonight (I already read the lecture and took notes, and would have posted homework earlier today except that I was having problems with a block.)
