Religion is a load of crap cult system of belief and practices shared by a community that attempts to answer the ultimate questions of life and death, and, in doing so, goes beyond the verifiable. Religions frequently involve supernatural elements such as gods and goddesses, angels and demons, ancestors, transmigratory souls, and heaven, purgatory and hell. Developed religions generally consist of a central creed or body of beliefs, an ethical component (i.e. a code of morals), a body of literature or holy texts or stories, a set of individual and communal practices. Religion played a major role in all human societies prior to the twentieth century. It is a core belief of conservatives that the recent decline in religious observation are a key source of the undermining of social and moral order.

Evangelicals disparage the term "religion" as a system of works by which human beings attempt to approach God without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. According to them, for the person who is born again, religion can only interfere and distract from that prayerful union.

Heavy Metal was developed around 1969 and 1974 from Psychedelic and Blues Rock and Classical music. The aural aspects of metal generally revolve around highly-amplified guitar distortion, fast guitar solos and harsh vocals.

Heavy Metal music and Spirituality
While Anti-Christian sentiments are quite common amongst the extreme metal sub genres, especially black and death metal, there is a large amount of heavy metal with an overtly Christian message (i.e, As I Lay Dying, Believer, Stryper) and several musicians of the genre are openly Christian, though very few outside Christian metal could be called fundamentalists. Such musicians include: Tom Araya, Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, Chris Jericho, Max Calvera, and Dan Spitz. Some popular ensembles to this effect are Underoath, P.O.D., He Is Legend, and Norma Jean. One of the most popular Christian Metal labels is Tooth and Nail Records.

Heavy Metal Fans
Heavy metal fans generally don't care about religion. Infact, anti-religion seems to be more the themes because christianity is just a giant cult meant to brainwash people along with every other religion. Christianity is a load of crap with no proof at all to support it but this thousand page story book called "The Bible".

Sub Genres
Sub genres include Black Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Doom Metal, Folk Metal, Viking Metal, Power Metal, Progressive (or Avant-Garde) Metal, and Gothic Metal.
