The Senate bill is PIPA. SOPA is a House bill. We should be specific. ScottDG 10:08, 18 January 2012 (EST)

:SOPA is its commonly known name. Feel free to add a footnote to clarify its name in the Senate. Liberals are pushing this through for their base.--Andy Schlafly 10:14, 18 January 2012 (EST)

Why would Lamr Smith, a republica nwho has criticized the Hollywood for its liberal bias, be pushing a bill at the behest of Liberal interests? Just because some of the supporters of this bill are liberals doesn't mean that it is a liberal issue. There are people on both sides supporting and opposing this bill. for example, Conservapedia and Wikipedia seem to be in agreement over the issue, and Wikipedia is 6 times more liberal than the rest of America.

Also, Aschlafly, Obama seems to be against the bill, so which liberals are pushing the bill and to which base?RachelW 14:33, 18 January 2012 (EST)

Can users please help out with the PROTECT IP Act article I just created? Fighting PIPA is more important at the moment. The Senate will have a cloture vote on January 24th.
