:He's a republican vice-president. His party is against [[same-sex marriage|gay marriage]], deleting this reference eliminates depth of the man. (He, personally, doesn't care one way or the other on gay marriage, IIRC.) BTW, I don't think anybody used Mary although they may have sought to try but I think ''she'' put a stop to any sorts of moves years ago. Even though it has been widely used in an attempt to discredit Cheney, the fact that his daughter is living a homosexual lifestyle remains just that, a fact. To the effect that this personal matter likely affects Cheney's ideas about "gay marriage" is both public knowledge and instructive to who he is politically. Dick Cheney thinks that gay marriage should be allowed to suit his family but is evil for anyone else.
