Fox News was started in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch in response to the other cable news channels which he believed to all have liberal biases. Fox News claims to be "Fair & Balanced.

Fox News has dominated the ratings of other cable news shows.{{fact}} Possibly because they report in a way that is more moderate then most news channels and because they do not attack George W. Bush or the Iraq War{{fact}}, a strategy quite popular among most of the media. Fox News prides itself on reporting on "good news" from Iraq, such as new schools being built and new roads being built and for reporting the suicide bombings in context of the broader war on terrorism and the religion they represent. Fox News was the first and only US cable news company to use the term "homicide bombing" to describe attacks by Arabs and Palestinians on Israelis.

He also pledged the USA to put man on the moon before the end of the 1960s.

Homeschooling is opting out of formal public and private schools in order to educate children in the home or in specially arranged classes or cooperatives. Parents take a more active role in the education of their children when they homeschool.

The primary reason for homeschooling is to give the child a better education. A close second in reasons, however, is to avoid the culture of public school and its many adverse effects of hostility to Christianity and parental control, political bias, boredom, confusion, depression, etc. Homeschooling is essential to ensure that Christianity does not encroach upon the santcitiy of the public school culture. This also ensures that sound scientific principles such as evolution will continue to be taught in public schools, while other theories such as intelligent design can be taught by less scientifically tained parents.

In the United States, opting out of public schools is not new. When Thomas Edison's public school teacher said he was "addled," Edison's mother took him out of public school and taught him at home. But because of compulsory education laws—the first was passed in Massachusetts in 1852, and by 1918 every state had them—schooling at home was a violation of truancy laws, and was rare until the 1970s.

The origin of the U. S. homeschooling movement is often credited to John Holt and his 1964 book ''How Children Fail.'' Holt was "a left-winger who regarded schools as instruments of the bureaucratic-industrial complex."<ref>Micklethwait, John and Adrian Wooldridge, ''The Right Nation: Conservative Power in America.''
