The next day, after a quarrel with her father, Alyssa runs away. She goes to the inlet, plays with her dolphin friend, and passes out on the beach after drinking a bottle of booze, a consequence of excessive drinking rarely shown in most [[Hollywood]] films.

I removed the line about the research being far fetched for two reasons: one, the line is pure opinion, and shouldn't be placed in an Encyclopedic article, and two, it's really not that far fetched. Researchers in the Keys have shown that Dolphins [http://www.apa.org/monitor/sep05/marine.html understand basic numeracy] and have actually taught them simple math, and another study showed that Dolphins were [http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2003/jul/03/research.science smart enough to recognize patterns and predict future events.] Teaching them to "play" a simple game isn't that much of a stretch.
