@JpattIt: It was not a misspoken statement, she said in the same press conference that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to write slavery out of the Constitution. What the underlying theme of what I was saying is that there's going to be nothing negative about a Tea Party icon on Conservapedia, even though it purports to be "The Trustowrthy Encyclopedia". Regarding Egypt, it's mentioned on the side in the top news, but I can find no other mention of riots anywhere. Also, though I am not an Obama supporter at all, he has not been playing basketball. He has come out and said that the Egyptian people are right in asserting themselves, and has communicated with Mubarak himself about what he plans to do.

It's just a guess, but whoever said that has been quoted as saying that on here. It should also be mentioned on the page of whoever said that Hispanics should punish their enemies. Regarding quotes like that, however, on Rush Limbaugh's page, he is not quoted as saying ""I tell people don't kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus--living fossils--so we we'll never forget what these people stood for.". Glenn Beck is not quoted as saying "shoot them in the head", regarding liberals. While I disagree with liberals, I do not think that they should be shot, and I also believe that standards must be applied evenly, if we're going to quote whoever told Hispanics to punish their enemies, we should quote Limbaugh and Beck as saying what I've just quoted. Who told a certain plumber that their wealth would be taken and spread around? That should also be mentioned. No one "invented" global warming. Climate change is an observable phenomenon, and if you'd like to debate that, I'd be more than happy to. Standing with your hands at your side for the National Anthem does not matter. If we're going to judge politicians for that, we should also judge them if they wear American flag pins on their suits. During the presidential debates, Obama wore one, while McCain did not. No, none of those issues, except for the last one, should be ignored, standards must be applied evenly. If Harry Reid were quoted as saying that John Quincy Adams abolished slavery, I would be insisting that that be mentioned too.

It is common to say "Russia" when referring to the CIS or the Soviet Union. Probably this is because both the latter have been dominated by Russia. The Bachman quote seems to be of interest only in terms of [[gotcha politics]], kind of like the flap over Sarah Palin's [[see Russia from Alaska]] remarks, which have been widely misquoted '''and''' taken out of context.

I changed the statement that "Michele Bachmann became the nation's first female presidential candidate from the GOP" to "Michele Bachmann became one of the nation's first female presidential candidate from the GOP". Margaret Chase Smith was a Republican Candidate for president in 1964. If memory serves, she even won some delegates and got votes at the convention. I actually think the paragraph needs to be rewritten, but my minor edit at least eliminates the false impression that there'd never been a Republican Woman candidate for president before.

The liberal smears are part of a familiar pattern whereby they work overtime to try to discredit conservative women or minorities. The reason is obvious: conservative women and minorities disprove the falsehood that liberals are better for them.
