King's Cathedral and Chapels, sometimes referred to as King's, is a multi-site Pentecostal megachurch based in Kahului, Hawaii. King's, originally called First Assembly of God Maui, was established in 1980 by their current Global Senior Pastors, Dr. James Marocco and Pastor Colleen Marocco. The church is noted for their multiple services, early morning and late night prayer meetings, various forms of community outreach, unique praise and worship, theatrical productions, generational ministries, and life groups.

History
King's Cathedral and Chapels was established in May 1980 when Dr. James Marocco and Pastor Colleen Marocco became the new Senior Pastors of what was then First Assembly of God Maui. Prior to becoming the official Senior Pastor on the first Sunday of May, Dr. Marocco prophesied that the size of the congregation would double from 100 congregants (originally 80 adults/youth + 20 children) to 200 congregants. That night, Dr. Morocco had cried out to the Lord, thinking he might have made a mistake in coming. But he continued to have faith in the Lord, and on the first Sunday of May, the first Sunday with Dr. Marocco as the official pastor, the congregation doubled. Because of the massive growth King's experienced, they immediately began renovations. The Chapel on Kane Street could then accommodate 200 people, then 300 people, then over 500 people with the addition of a two-story educational facility (and the buildings are still there today on Kane Street).

In the next year (1980-1981), King’s Cathedral and Chapels was recognized by a national church growth organization as the fastest growing church in the United States. At the end of their first year, they had 700 active congregants. A month after their one year anniversary, they had 1,100 active congregants. They then purchased and began to hold services in what was then the Maui Skate Palace, the largest facility on the island of Maui, which was also then the home of Family Life Center, the social services arm of King’s Cathedral and Chape. After the watchnight service, the church walked from the original chapel on Kane Street in a candlelight procession to the new facility. Due to the financial situation of King's at the time, the church began to influence the areas of business and recreation, founding the Christmas Tree Lot and operating a racquetball club and spa, the only ones on the island at the time.

In 1983, Dr. Morocco was led by the Lord to Tommy Barnett’s Pastors’ School in Phoenix. Through that, God had revived the vision of the church. The bus ministry doubled and a soul-winning ministry began. Dr. Morocco also received a word that had changed King's forever. God had said: “Just as the mayor of Maui County is the mayor of three islands, I want you to pastor three islands.” Shortly after this revelation of God’s will for King's, they opened more extensions in Lahaina, Maui and Kaunakakai, Molokai. Their first cultural ministry, the Filipino Ministry, was also born with Filipino churches being founded as a result.

In January 1984, God had told Dr. Marocco to see if they could purchase a specific property which was 14 acres in size, on the corner of the most trafficked intersection of all of Maui: Kuihelani Highway and Maui Veterans Highway (what was then Mokulele Highway). We began attempts to purchase the property as it was a property Dr. Morocco believed could accommodate his vision of a church on Maui with 6,000 people. The construction of the facility on this property, the Cathedral, was finished in 1994 and is still the current hub of King's Cathedral and Chapels globally. In 1989, with the opening of King's Lanai, the word given to Dr. Marocco from 1983 was fulfilled. In 1992, the Marshallese Ministry was founded, which began a wave of Marshallese churches all across the United States, which now numbers over 62 extensions.

In 1995, the Cathedral held a series of revival meetings with Evangelist Rodney Howard Browne, which changed the entire nature of the church. What happened as a result was that King's began to have a global vision, establishing extensions in Kauai; Wasilla, Alaska; Seattle, Washington; California; Japan; and Tahiti among other locations. This was the first wave of global expansion. In 2000, First Assembly of God was renamed to King's Cathedral and Chapels to avoid confusion with a church named First Assembly of God on Oahu.

Starting in the year of 2007, the Lord led King's to begin to have a Vision, or a goal for our church. That year, Dr. Marocco announced the 12/12/12 Vision: 12 extensions in Hawaii, 12 extensions in the mainland United States plus Alaska, and extensions in 12 nations outside of the United States by 2010. This would later be fulfilled. In 2010, King's was in the 120/20 Vision: 120 extensions globally and having 20,000 congregants by 2015. This would later be fulfilled. In 2015, King's was in the 1/2/3 Vision: 100 extensions in the United States, 200 extensions internationally outside of the United States, and having 30,000 congregants by 2020. This would later be fulfilled. In 2020, the Vision of King's was Vision 500: 500 extensions globally by the end of May 2021. This would later be fulfilled. The current Vision of King's is the 12/120 Vision: 1,200 extensions and 120,000 congregants by 2025.

Currently, King's has extension campuses in 21 states: Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida. King's also has extension campuses in 18 nations outside of the United States: Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, Gabon, Mozambique, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, New Zealand, the Marshall Islands, Tonga, Fiji, and Tahiti.

Affiliations
King's Cathedral and Chapels is a part of the Assemblies of God, being one of the biggest churches in the Assemblies of God in the United States. Dr. James Marocco serves as the Sectional Presbyter for Maui County in the Hawaii District of the Assemblies of God.

Dr. James Marocco also serves as a board member of Christ for the Nations Institute based in Dallas, Texas; as the Hawaii State Director for Christians United for Israel, led by Dr. John Hagee; and as a board member of Church Growth International, led by Dr. Yonggi Cho.

Leadership
Currently, Dr. James Marocco and Pastor Colleen Marocco are the senior pastors of King's Cathedral and Chapels. The various extensions and their respective ministries are managed by many pastors worldwide.

Dr. James Marocco has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanguard University, a Master of Arts from the University of Southern California in Ancient History, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, specializing in pastoral counseling and church growth.

Pastor Colleen Marocco is the founder of King's' Women’s Conferences and Encounters for over 25 years. She is also the founder of the Transformation Ministry which provides a place of healing and restoration from addictions, strongholds, and past trauma.

Schools
King's Cathedral Maui has a K-12 school, Ka'ahumanu Hou Christian School. Founded in 1984, it seeks to honor the request of the first Hawaiian Christian queen, Queen Ka'ahumanu, that a Christian education be mandated to all the children in her kingdom. The school seeks to provide students with academic knowledge while also discipling them into the way of the Lord.

For high school graduates and above, King's has a two-year ministerial school program, King's School of Ministry, that simultaneously teaches theology, leadership development, as well as giving students practical experience and spiritual enrichment. KSM combines academic courses with hands-on ministerial internships, and personal mentorship to create the most holistic experience possible. Graduates of KSM can advance forward to other aspects of King's, even serving as Ministers and Pastors within the church.

King's Cathedral and Chapels is a multi-site Pentecostal megachurch with its main location in Maui, Hawaii.

History
On Thanksgiving Day in 1935, a couple, Brother and Sister Creighton, came to Maui with a mandate from God to create a Pentecostal Church. A year later, in 1936, the Full Gospel Church of Paia began. The church eventually grew, and when Sister Creighton passed away, Brother Creighton and his family moved back to the mainland United States, and gave the church to the Assemblies of God, with the name changing to "First Assembly of God."

In 1960, the building was sold and became Doris Todd Memorial School. The congregation moved to central Maui, becoming a part of the Kahului Assembly of God, which began a year before. The church had constructed a new building on Kane Street with handmade bricks, taking the sign from their church in Paia and placing it in front of their new church.

In 1980, Dr. James Marocco and his wife, Pastor Colleen, became the new pastors of First Assembly of God. Some of his first actions as pastor were to order a new sign, paint the building, and expand the size of the church to accommodate 250 people instead of the 150 people it once held.

On the first Sunday of First Assembly of God with Dr. James Marocco and Pastor Colleen as their pastors, the congregation doubled. By the end of the year, they were noted by a national church growth organization as being one of the fastest-growing churches in the United States, growing to 700 in Sunday morning attendance.

To accommodate the growth of the church, the pastors took a step of faith and secured a former Foodland store that had turned into a skating rink across from the Kaahumanu Shopping Center. At the time they acquired the property, it was the largest facility in the state. An issue that they faced was the financial cost of securing the facility, costing $20,000 more a month than what came into the church. Dr. Marocco knew God's vision for First Assembly of God was more excellent, so he began praying for a piece of property, the corner of Dairy Road (what is now Airport Road) and Puunene Avenue (what is now Maui Veterans Highway).

In 1984, Dr. Marocco's parents, missionaries to India and the Philippines, had joined his staff and implemented early morning prayer meetings from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM. These early morning prayer meetings still happen to this day across King's Cathedral and Chapels.

Dr. Marocco also attempted to secure the property that he had been praying for and envisioned to be the main property of their church. A & B Properties, the owners of the land, were willing to sell their land to us, but it was not the property Dr. Marocco had prayed for, but the property across the street.

It took a year to subdivide it, but Dr. Marocco could not have a church built on that property because there was a state law prohibiting churches from being built on agricultural land. Dr. Marocco had hired the leading constitutional lawyer in the United States, William Ball, who wrote a memorandum that Dr. Marocco brought with him when he went to the state capitol to persuade their legislators to change the law.

It had passed through committee but had failed on the state house floor by two votes. The only way they would have been able to build on the land was to have the county council rezone it. In sum, there were three hearings, of which the first two went against the church. But before the final hearing, A & B Properties offered the land across the street to Dr. Marocco, the very land that he had been praying for. In 1994, the property became their new church home and is currently the central location of King's Cathedral and Chapels.

King's Cathedral and Chapels was also one of the first churches on the Hawaiian Islands to incorporate hula into worship and eventually incorporated other Polynesian cultural dances.

After the year 2000, First Assembly of God changed their name to "King's Cathedral and Chapels." In 2005, King's Cathedral and Chapels was in the "12/12/12 Vision," believing to be in 12 nations, 12 states, and 12 locations in Hawaii. This vision grew into the "120/20 Vision," believing to be in 120 locations worldwide and ministering to 20,000 people weekly. As of May 2015, the "120/20 Vision" has been fulfilled, and grew into the "1/2/3 Vision," believing for 100 congregations in the United States, 200 congregations internationally, and ministering to 30,000 people weekly. In May 2020, this vision grew into "Vision 500," believing to have 500 congregations worldwide by May 26, 2021. Today, they are known for their early morning prayer meetings, theatrical productions, multiple service times, various forms of outreach into the public community, life groups, and generational ministries.

Currently, King's Cathedral and Chapels is an international church in 18 countries (outside of the United States): Andorra, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Fiji, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Mozambique, New Zealand, Philippines, Spain, Tahiti, Tonga, and Vietnam; a national church in 17 states (outside of Hawaii): Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia; and a statewide church on six islands: Hawaii, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai.

Affiliations
King's Cathedral and Chapels is a part of the Assemblies of God and has one of their pastors as one of the Hawaii Assemblies of God Sectional Presbyters. Dr. James Marocco is a board member of Church Growth International.

Music
On September 2, 2014, King's Cathedral and Chapels released a worship album, "We Cry Out: Polynesian Praise and Worship."

On July 21, 2020, King's Cathedral and Chapels' newly established worship team, King's Collective, released an EP, "Who I Am."

Schools
King's Cathedral Maui has a Christian school with grades kindergarten through 12th. They also have the King's School of Ministry, meant to provide students who have a vocation in ministry with training on theology, leadership development, practical experience, and spiritual growth.

Ministries
King's Cathedral and Chapels have many various ministries that their members participate in or are a part of:

Transformation Ministry
Transformation Ministry is a ministry where people who deal with sinful issues can be in fellowship with those who have overcome those sinful issues or spiritual counselors and guides, growing with each other in their faith and desire for Christ and to make Him known.

Production Ministry
Recently launched in King's Cathedral Maui, the production ministry is a ministry where actors, singers, and backstage crew can work on refining their skills and performing the various productions produced by King's Cathedral and Chapels.

Youth Ministry
Depending on the extension, the youth ministry might be combined (6th to 12th grade), split (6th to 8th is separate from 9th to 12th), or a mixture of the two (split during one service, combined during another).

Worship Ministry
From middle school onward, members of the church can ask to participate in the church's worship ministry and sing during Sunday and Midweek services.

Filipino Ministry
This ministry is essentially the same type of service as a Sunday morning service or a Midweek service but meant for Filipinos.

Marshallese Ministry
This ministry is essentially the same type of service as a Sunday morning service or a Midweek service but meant for Marshallese people.

At the turn of the Second Millenium, First Assembly of God changed their name to "King's Cathedral and Chapels."

King's Cathedral and Chapels was also the first church on the Hawaiian Islands to incorporate hula into worship and eventually incorporated other Polynesian cultural dances.

At the turn of the Second Millenium, First Assembly of God changed their name to "King's Cathedral and Chapels."

King's Cathedral and Chapels was also the first church on the Hawaiian Islands to incorporate hula into worship and eventually incorporated other Polynesian cultural dances.

Music

Dr. Marocco had hired the leading constitutional lawyer in the United States, William Ball, who wrote a memorandum that he, Dr. Marocco, went to the state capitol to persuade their legislators to change the law.

King's Cathedral and Chapels was also the first church on the Hawaiian Islands to incorporate hula into worship and eventually incorporated other Polynesian cultural dances.

Youth Ministry
Depending on the extension, the youth ministry might be combined (6th to 12th grade), split (6th to 8th is separate from 9th to 12th), or a mixture of the two (split during one service, combined during another).

From middle school onward, members of the church can ask to participate in the church's worship ministry and sing during Sunday and Midweek services.

This ministry is essentially the same type of service as a Sunday morning service or a Midweek service but meant for Filipinos.

This ministry is essentially the same type of service as a Sunday morning service or a Midweek service but meant for Marshallese people.

King's Cathedral and Chapels is a multi-site Pentecostal megachurch with its main location in Maui, Hawaii.

History
This church started being pastored by Dr. Marocco (their current senior pastor) in the year of 1980. When he began to pastor the church, less than 100 people attended their services. On the first official Sunday with him as the church's pastor, the congregation doubled. Within a year, church attendance had grown to 700 people. They had initially met in a building on Kane St., but it became too small of a building to accommodate their congregation. They then met in the Maui Skate Palace, starting in 1982.

In 1983, Dr. Marocco received a word from God: "Just as the mayor of Maui County is the mayor of three islands, I want you to pastor three islands." Shortly after, they expanded their congregation to multiple congregations on Maui. That year, they started their extension in Molokai, with their Lanai extension soon to follow. The opening of these extensions started their concept of being one church in many locations.

In 1984, God told Dr. Marocco to secure 14 acres of the most trafficked corner of Maui. Ten years later, they moved into their new church home, which was the largest facility in the state.

In 1986, they opened their first extension outside of Maui County, on Honokaa, Hawaii. With rapid succession, extensions began in Kaua'i, Alaska, Tahiti, California, Japan, and Seattle.

In 2005, they were in the "12/12/12 Vision," believing God to be in 12 nations, 12 US states, and 12 extensions on Hawaii. This vision was fulfilled and then grew into the "120/10 Vision," believing to be a church in 120 locations worldwide, ministering to over 20,000 people. This vision has been fulfilled as of May 2015.

By May 2020, they believe that God will help them to fulfill the "1-2-3 Vision," believing God for 100 congregations in the United States, 200 international congregations, and 30,000 disciples (people involved in life groups or ministry).

As of January 2020, King's Cathedral has extensions are in 20 nations: the United States, Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Spain, Mozambique, New Zealand, Malaysia, Italy, Brazil, Andorra, and Tahiti. They also have extensions in 12 states: Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, West Virginia, and Florida. According to their senior pastor, as of February 23, 2020, they are in over 300 locations worldwide, having 225 international extensions.

Affliations
When the senior pastors began their leadership positions in the church, the weekly church attendance was 100 people. On the first Sunday, the church attendance doubled. Later on, First Assembly of God was considered the fastest growing church nationwide by a nationwide church growth organization.

By 2020, they believe that God will help them to fulfill the "1-2-3 Vision," believing God for 100 congregations in the United States, 200 international congregations, and 30,000 disciples (people involved in life groups or ministry).

As of January 2020, they are in 17 nations: the United States, Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Spain, Mozambique, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Italy. They are also in 11 states: Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, and West Virginia.

CreationWiki is a free wiki-based Internet encyclopedia of creationism written from primarily a Young Earth Creationism perspective that was started during the summer of 2004 by the Northwest Creation Network, and is the work of an international team of creationists. In addition to having articles regarding the creation/evolution issue CreationWiki has articles on the Bible and Christianity. CreationWiki only allows edits from a creationary perspective and although it does permit Old Earth Creationist viewpoints, it favours Young Earth Creationism.

CreationWiki was started in part due to the evolutionary bias of Wikipedia.
CreationWiki reports on an article concerning creation that was deleted from Wikipedia, and links to the Wikipedia page with the vote for deletion of the article, with the comment that: "Despite Wikipedia's NPOV policy, many voters felt free to vote to delete the article on the grounds that they considered creationism as pseudoscience or worse, rather than on the merits of the article itself." and "no administrators felt the need to remind the voters that they should be voting on the merits of the article, not their personal opinion of creationism".

As of October 13, 2019, there were 6,375 articles written in English from a creationist point of view. Considering the other languages, there are a total of 9,431 articles. One of the more interesting articles at CreationWiki is their article on Bible scientific foreknowledge. Bible scientific foreknowledge is the concept that holds the Bible contains knowledge that shows an understanding of scientific knowledge beyond that believed to exist at the time the Bible was composed.

EvoWiki attempts many refutations of CreationWiki's claims. However, CreationWiki monitors EvoWiki quite closely and has many answers to EvoWiki's claims—and also to those of Talk.Origins and various other pro-evolution organizations such as the National Center for Science Education.

CreationWiki is actively expanding into multiple languages. The core site is written in English, but translated versions of the site already exist in Spanish, German, Korean, Hebrew, Chinese, Polish, Portuguese and French.

Contrasted with EvoWiki
In response to critics of CreationWiki who note its small size and editor base compared to the anti-creationist Wikipedia, proponents of CreationWiki claim that all comparisons should be made to another specialized wiki, EvoWiki. Unlike EvoWiki, which is a wiki that is archived and not actively being edited, CreationWiki has active editors. In recent years, interest in atheism websites and evolutionism has declined.<ref>[http://questionevolution.blogspot.com/2012/05/jesus-vs-richard-dawkins-and-pz-myers_28.html Round 2: Jesus vs. Evolution and PZ Myers and Richard Dawkins - Jesus triumphs again!
