Hurricane Katrina was a deadly hurricane that hit the Gulf Coast in late August 2005. It was the sixth-strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. The flooding that followed submerged the city of New Orleans in Louisiana and also coastal Mississippi. Reportedly 1,836 people lost their lives due to this hurricane and it caused $81.2 billion in damage. There was widespread criticism about how federal and state officials responded to it. Michael Brown, head of FEMA, resigned under harsh criticism from both Republicans and Democrats that the federal agency was inept at handling the disaster. Charges of racism was also brought against the agency because most of the people that got hit by the hurricane were blacks.

Even though it has been widely used in an attempt to discredit Cheney, the fact that his daughter is living a homosexual lifestyle remains just that, a fact. To the effect that this personal matter likely affects Cheney's ideas about "gay marriage" is both public knowledge and instructive to who he is politically. I think in the interest of avoiding the pitfalls of wiki, one of which is leaving out facts which aren't convienent to the liberal mindset, we should strive to be inclusive with the truth.
We might want to add a rule from the Americans for Gun Safety Foundation regarding hunting safety, to whit:
"When hunting with companions, determine ahead of time the "zone of fire" or area within which each hunter will track and fire should game appear."
::Turbo, J2xl is speaking for himself. Conservapedia is all about facts, unlike Wikipedia which is takes a neutral stance on crucial issues or adopts a "consensus view" (which to no one's surprise always turns out to correspond to the Liberal viewpoint).

::Any information about office-holders using their power to enrich their cronies or themselves is fair game for political biographies. One of the greatest strengths of a democracy is tolerance of opposing points of view, and also the idea that no one is above the law. That is what separates America from (pre-war) Iraq, as well as several dozen other hopelessly corrupt dictatorships. America lets the underdog "speak truth to power".

::I'm very interested in a series of articles about presidential corruption. Generally, the further back in time you go, the easier it is, so <smirk> that'll make it easy to dig up dirt on Clinton and Gore. I only ask that we avoid any partisanship. No fair picking on Gore (e.g., pointing out his scientific dishonesty) or Clinton (giving false testimony under oath) just because their sins are so well-documented. Give everyone an even shake(down), I always say. --Ed Poor Talk 18:50, 7 July 2007 (EDT)
The Whole Story?
These pages I assume are intended to allow folks to add contributions. A man who served in the upper echelons of government should have more than 2 paragraphs. In my humble opinion you should stomach the failings of such a figure in order to have a complete and accurate picture. What you have here is a third grade summary, of quite possibly the most influential conservative in the world. Unfortunately, it may be the very nature of conservatives to not collaborate that may lead this site's demise. Grow a pair and best wishes.

:A lot of pages here should have more than 2 paragraphs - especially if those new paragraphs include objective information, as opposed to radical, fringe opinion. Several recent reverts in the Recent Changes link come to mind... Stryker 12:17, 3 July 2007 (EDT)
::Date of birth is January 30, 1941. That might be an interesting factoid to include. I did miss it in the template but it is not in the body of the article. U2 20:42, 7 July 2007 (EDT)

This man has been in politics and served in so many high offices that just having a few paragraphs about him either a) make him into an insignificant figure in history b)show that there are a lot of things unsaid which will likely be perceived as things that Conservapedia is trying to hide. Public officials' bios should be open to any points of views because these people serve all of the people. Cheney is not the Vice President of the Republicans, but the Vice President of the entire United States. If one wants to keep their life private, do not run for public office. Anyone who is given the power to create laws that affect me should give me the right to criticize him. It's all about check and balances. The government of the USA is based on the principle of check and balances.
