"400 leading Americans"
The article says:
Stone was one of “400 leading Americans” who signed an “Open Letter,” published in Soviet Russia Today, denouncing the CCF as “Fascists” and “reactionaries” for propounding “the fantastic falsehood that the USSR and the totalitarian states are basically alike,” and claiming that the Soviets Union "has shown a steadily expanding democracy in every sphere.
Do we have documentation of that? The letter only shows 174 names (or here), not 400, and Stone is not among those 174. Is there a list of the other 226, somewhere? NCdave (talk) 14:43, 15 April 2018 (EDT)
- The Marxist international archive has the original "400 leading Americans", [1] with a partial list of signatories. I'll try to find the basis for the claim Stone was among the signatories not published at the time. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 15:23, 15 April 2018 (EDT)
