As it is well known, capacitors created during 1990-2000 by certain American corporations fail quite quickly, by capacitor plague. However, it appears that capacitors located on motherboards, especially the ones located geographically close to the Southbridge chipset, fail much faster than capacitors on Power Supplies, despite power supplies facing far higher voltages and amperages.
Potential answers
- Motherbridge capacitors are faced with varying voltages, as currents flow often quite erratically.
