Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov (Russian:Михаи́л Тимофе́евич Кала́шников) (born 10 November 1919 - died 23 December 2013) was a Russian general and the inventor of the AK-47. Since its invention in 1947, the AK-47 has been used by many diverse groups, including terrorist groups, and most armies of the developing world.

Kalashnikov now sells his own brand of vodka.
