Hello William,

Part of what we are trying to do with categories is to move people out of generic groupings into more specialized forms. Therefore, please do not add the category of biography unto articles that already have a category. Thanks. Learn together 19:57, 7 April 2008 (EDT)

Thank you, I was wondering why so many "obvious" categories weren't there. WilliamH 20:05, 7 April 2008 (EDT)
You're welcome. Enjoy your stay and please help us to improve the product. We still have lots of room for growth. Learn together 20:42, 7 April 2008 (EDT)

Nepotism

Hello William,

It's best to only create wikilinks if the link already exists, it is obvious it should exist, or you are planning on creating it (shortly). So a wikilink to a prominent individual, place, or event would be acceptable, but it's assumed our readers have general dictionary knowledge so common words are usually left out. Thank you again for your help, editing is harder than it looks. WilliamH 07:16, 8 April 2008 (EDT)

BC

It's not necessary to make a wikilink for BC as it is already commonly understood. The same with AD. Links are good William, but don't get too carried away. ;-) Learn together 13:38, 16 April 2008 (EDT)

Heh, sorry. I just find it engrossing when, after reading an interesting article, there are various wikilinks that lead to other interesting articles prepared to be read. I'll keep it down. WilliamH 13:43, 16 April 2008 (EDT)

Cats

Thanks. This was a better category. --Ed Poor Talk 12:31, 25 April 2008 (EDT)

You're always welcome. WilliamH 06:39, 29 April 2008 (EDT)

Nice work

You did a bang-up job on those—er—"efforts" of a user who shall remain nameless. Thanks.--TerryHTalk 22:10, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Thank you for your thanks. WilliamH 22:13, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Redirecting Existing Duplicate pages

Hi, William. I noticed you cleared the content from several pages such as Scientists and replaced them with a redirect to Scientist. I totally agree with these redirections, but the general procedure is to propose a move ( {{move| new article}} ) or merger ( {{merge| new article}} ) so that the sysops can move the page in the actual wiki database. That way the history of edits is also preserved. In these cases it probably doesn't matter, but just an FYI for future edits. Keep up the good work! -Foxtrot 01:07, 12 June 2008 (EDT)

Ahh, good point. Thank you for the information. WilliamH 01:10, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
