Deletion of Miley Crus comments on the Main Talk page

StevenM, I didn't want to start ping-ponging over the Miley Cyrus thing, but I have to ask why you decided to take it upon yourself to remove that section of the talk page? Nothing that violated any CP commandments was in the comments, so it just seems that they were removed because you didn't like what was being said.

For what it's worth, I do find it a bit hypocritical that some people on CP dragged Heath Ledger's name through the mud before the autopsy was complete because he was deemed to represent "Hollywood Values", yet comments about Cyrus are censored because she was held up as a representative of Christian /Conservative values here. So she's human, and made a choice she regrets now. That's worth commenting on not because it's gossip, but because it's a reminder that we're all fallible, and should be allowed to stumble now and then without people pouncing on them in judgment. She seems like a nice kid, and suppressing comments as if one's ashamed of her (when the criticism was really about hypocrisy on CP, and not her) seems like an overreaction to me. --DinsdaleP 18:58, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
