IMDb profile

The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film, directed by Christopher Nolan as a sequel to his earlier film, Batman Begins. Heath Ledger in his last completed performance portrayed the Joker as a dark, insane criminal. Ledger died during post-production and won a posthumous Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film also won another Oscar for Best Achievment in Sound Editing and was nominated for another six Academy Awards. The film was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and some menace. It is also considered to be one of the best conservative movies due to its message of not yielding to terrorists.
