The Tea Party Patriots is one of thousands of groups in the Tea Party Movement, claiming 2,800 smaller affiliate groups and over 15 million members. Co-founders and national coordinators of the Tea Party Patriots include Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler. The Tea Party Patriots, acting as an individual group among many other Tea Party organizations, focuses primarily on the goal of reestablishing limited government to America's Constitutional Republic, and has expressed that they are not as supportive on the pro-life and marriage issues as other groups demonstrate. For example, Ralph King, reportedly a member of the Tea Party Patriots national leadership council and also its co-coordinator in Ohio, was quoted as follows:[1]

When they were out in the Boston Harbor, they weren’t arguing about who was gay or who was having an abortion. I look at myself as pretty socially conservative. But that’s not what we push through the Tea Party Patriots.

A $1 million anonymous donor to the Tea Party Patriots will benefit the thousands of its affiliate groups across the United States.[2] As a 501(c)4 entity under the federal tax code, Tea Party Patriots is not regulated by federal campaign finance laws and therefore not required to reveal its funding sources.
