Obed was not part of the lineage of Jesus (see Luke 3:23)

Obed was an ancestor of Joseph, with the list starting at Luke 3:23. As Joseph was not Jesus' biological father, Obed was not part of the lineage of Jesus, genealogically speaking. PaulBurnett 22:32, 12 March 2010 (EST)
