Multiculturalism vs Particularism
This article seems to imply that Conservatives reject multiculturalism as a whole. I changed the article to reflect that it's actually particularism that Christian Conservatives reject--it's hard to deny multiculturalism's beneficial impact on the country. Think of all the things we wouldn't have if it wasn't for the country's historic status as a melting pot: hamburgers and hotdogs (both of German origin), corn and crab dishes (of Native American origin), virtually all of the traditional cuisine of the American Southwest (a mixture of Texan and Mexican culture), and what we know today as Chinese food (really a mixture of American West Coast cuisine and traditional Chinese food). To be against multiculturalism is to be against America, which is why I altered the article. If anybody disagrees please say so here. -Ilikecake 14:50, 19 January 2009 (EST)
