Can someone who knows their way around better than I do arrange it so that the list of works are in the same form as the rest of the article. What is that white box for, anyway? Thanks.....AlanE 23:10, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

I fixed it up a bit. The white box is what happens when lines start with spaces. Wiki markup is pretty easy once you get used to it, but can seem truly bizarre at first. Copying is a good way to do things - if you have a format in mind, find an article like it, and copy the "source" - all the stuff in the edit box, over to the article you are writing, then change the text to the appropriate info. Nice job beefing up the article! Human 00:54, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Where? I found the "was" on the first line but you must have a very light touch. There is nothing obvious. Jenkins should have picked you in the centres. AlanE 17:33, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Where did I "fix it up"? Mostly the formatting. I took your list and made it into a bulleted list by using asterisks. That's about all. Maybe one typo or grammar thing? Dpbsmith has since improved the first paragraph with a quote or two. And then I added links to the composers he mentioned. Human 19:06, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Thanks. And thanks to Dpbsmith too. I may have a go at Liszt and Berlioz, but that means work. The Brahms was a memory thing.AlanE 21:50, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Can any German speakers out there elucidate me on the difference between "lied" and "gesung" in the context of Brahms and other song writers? Thanks.AlanE 15:54, 22 May 2007 (EDT)
