Military checkpoints at courthouses?

"A checkpoint is a security gate, usually operated by the military...seen most often at the entrances to...sensitive locations like courthouses."

The military is seen at military bases and borders, but at courthouses? I don't recall ever seeing military checkpoints at courthouses, at least in the United States. Is this in reference to some third world dictatorship or war zone? Or is it just wrong? PaulBurnett 11:50, 25 January 2010 (EST)
