This page should be called Asperger's Syndrome. JY23 19:46, 6 December 2008 (EST)

The merger is not a good idea, because though AS is on the spectrum, it's actually quite different from total autism, mostly based on intelligence/maturity. JY23 19:56, 6 December 2008 (EST)

I think it would be best to merge them into one page: Autism spectrum disorder. Having both redirect to it would be helpful, and perhaps most accurate. Sulli 15:55, 6 January 2009 (EST)

If you were to merge the articles, the resulting article would be enormously long because autism is a very complicated disorder and I fear that it may become unreadable. Ululator 19:49, 24 February 2009 (EST)

Yes, the correct name is Asperger's syndrome. danq 10:58, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

Asperger syndrome is not the same as autism. I have Asperger syndrome.--TedM 23:54, 9 March 2009 (EDT)

Asperger's syndrome is technically considered autism - it is on the less extreme end of the "Autism Spectrum." danq 22:36, 14 March 2009 (EDT)

While Asperger's syndrome is a form of autism, it is well worth a separate article, as there is considerable information specific to Asperger's that does not apply to autism in general. I suggest they be kept separate. Also, I agree that the name of the page should be "Asperger's" rather than "Asperger", as that is the correct term. --Hsmom 21:23, 21 July 2009 (EDT)
