Sigourney Weaver

Sigourney Weaver (born 1949) is an American motion picture actress. She is perhaps best known for her role as Ellen Ripley in the Aliens film series. She also played starring roles in the Ghostbusters films, Gorillas in the Mist, and Prayers for Bobby.

She has been nominated for Academy Awards for her work in Aliens (1986), Gorillas in the Mist (1988), Working Girl (1988), and Prayers for Bobby (2009).

For a Hollywood personality, she has been married only once, to avant-garde theater and film director James Simpson.
