Serie A is the top flight of soccer in Italy. The league is one of the top in Europe, based on quality of play and general buying power. However, in 2006, a match-fixing scandal rocked the league and relegated four teams, two of which are recognized throughout the globe. Now, with new players, and a new focus, the league is ready to prove itself on the international stage once again.
