The San Diego Chargers are an American professional football team. They are part of the NFL, American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC West Division. The team is based in San Diego, California.

History
The Chargers were one of the charter members of the old AFL and won four AFL Championships[1]. The team moved to San Diego in 1961.[2] The team was in the Super Bowl in 1994, however, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 49-26.[3]
