Robert Brown Aderholt, born July 22, 1965 (age 44), has been a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Alabama's 4th congressional district, since 1997. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee and is ranking member of the Subcommittee on Legislative Branch.

Representing a socially conservative district, Aderholt opposes gun control, same-sex marriage, and received a 100% rating from the National Right to Life Committee. [1]. He was the only House member from Alabama to vote against the $700 billion bailout of the financial markets.
