Peninsula Campaign

The Peninsula Campaign was a series of battles in the Napoleanic Wars during which Britain and Spain tried to force the French under Napoleon out of the Spanish peninsular. Events of the campaign are dramatised as the setting for part of Bernard Cornwall's popular series of Sharpe novels.
