Jerome Lester Horwitz (1903-1952), better known as Curly Howard, was a Jewish American writer and actor. His works had an existential bent to them, often making fun of inane and commonplace situations. He often performed with musician Louis Feinberg and his brother Moses, as the Three Stooges. Horwitz died in California from a stroke.[1]
