(Redirected from Harpies)
The Harpies were originally depicted in Greek mythology as beautiful, winged maidens. However, they became depicted as winged monsters, with the face of an ugly old woman and possessing sharp talons. They were Aello, Celaeno, and Ocypete and lived on Strophades. The myths told of them carrying people to the underworld and tormenting them. [1]
