Hammurabi

Hammurabi was the King of Babylon from 1792 to 1750 B.C. The Code of Hammurabi was a legal code based on "an eye for an eye" form of justice and had similarities to the Mosaic code of the Bible. The code of Hammurabi are the earliest tablets of law to survive to this day and are considered to be an important find to understand ancient Middle East development and history.
