Liberal code words are ordinary-sounding terms which are used by liberals to promote their worldview.
- "Think for yourself" is a liberal code word for "reject wisdom merely because it comes from another person"
- "Progressive" sounds good by invoking "progress", but it refers specifically to making progress towards liberal goals
- "Fascist" means "anything I don't like involving Conservatives or the Government."
- "Bigot" is a term for anyone who disagrees with liberal social values.
- "Equality" equates equal opportunity with equal results.
One could even consider the word "liberal" itself to be a liberal code word, given its original association with classical liberalism.
