Diet Coke Plus was a form of Diet Coke released in April 2007 that was fortified with vitamins including niacin, vitamins B6 and B12, zinc, and magnesium.[1] From the start, there were health experts and even some consumers who were suspicious of this product. Due to the artificial sweeteners, flavors, caramel color, and other contents, it was suspected that the product was not as healthy as advertised.[2][3] The product was eventually discontinued, but primarily because the Food and Drug Administration declared it "misbranded" and ordered action from the Coca-Cola Company, rather than public concern.[4]
