Denver International Airport (DEN) is located in 23 miles northeast of downtown Denver, Colorado.[1] In terms of acreage it is the world's largest, and also has the longest runway at 16,000 feet.

Airport History

In February 1991, Denver City Council officially named the city's new airport terminal for Elrey B. Jeppesen. The airport opened on February 28, 1995. Denver International Airport is the only major airport to be built in the United States in the last 25 years.[2][3]

Layout

The layout consists of a central entrance and three terminals: A, B, and C. One can walk from the entrance area to Terminal A, but access to the others requires riding on a people mover system.

Terminal B is the largest of the three terminals, and serves as a major hub for United Airlines.

Conspiracy Theories

There are several conspiracy theories relating to the airport, mostly revolving around the fact that the airport looks somewhat like an asymmetrical, five-armed swastika.
