Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (born Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Middleton, January 9, 1982), is the wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. The couple met whilst studying at St Andrews University in Scotland.
She married Prince William on April 29, 2011, in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London. The day was marked by a public holiday in the United Kingdom.
On December 3, 2012, it was announced that the Duchess is pregnant with the couple's first child. At birth, the child will be third in line to the throne.
