Box-and-Whisker Plot

A box-and-whisker plot is used on a number line to denote various numbers from a sequence:

The median;

the upper quartile;

the lower quartile;

the upper extreme;

and the lower extreme.

The drawn result looks something like a box with whiskers sprouting from the sides, hence the name.
