America's most dangerous cities refers to the annual list of the poorest crime-infested cities in the nation by Congressional Quarterly Press. Rankings were compiled by gathering such data as assault, murder, rape, motor vehicle theft and robbery.

- No. 2: Camden, New Jersey
- No. 3: Detroit, Michigan
- No. 4: St. Louis, Missouri
- No. 5: Oakland, California
- No. 6: Flint, Michigan
- No. 7: Gary, Indiana
- No. 8: Birmingham, Alabama
- No. 9: Richmond, California
- No. 10: North Charleston, South Carolina
- No. 11: Cleveland, Ohio
- No. 12: Baltimore, Maryland
- No. 13: Miami Gardens,Florida
- No. 14: Memphis, Tennessee
- No. 15: Youngstown, Ohio
All cities listed with the exception of Birmingham and North Charleston, are Democrat-run and some have been for decades.
